I’m Gavin, Chief Creative Officer at Howatson+Company.
I care about making unignorable, brand-building work that pushes the boundaries of craft and culture.
I’ve been named Australian Creative of the Year, ranked #6 Executive Creative Director in the world at D&AD and won more than 150 awards, including multiple Grand Prix. I’ve also judged D&AD, London International Awards, ANDYs, The Immortals and AWARD.
As part of the founding team at Howatson+Company, I helped build the agency from its inception to nearly 200 people across Sydney and Melbourne. During that time, we won over 40 Agency of the Year titles, including #1 independent agency at D&AD, Cannes Lions (Good), Spikes, ANDYs, LIA, B&T, AdNews and Mumbrella. We also became one of just eight agencies globally named a Contagious Pioneer.
Before Howatson+Company, I worked at CHE Proximity, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Marcel, Droga5 and M&C Saatchi.
Outside advertising, I’m the co-creator of luxury dog care brand DOG by Dr Lisa and author of the children’s book Skat the Mutt, published by Scholastic.
